Dr. Jenell Jackson, MD is an Atlanta, Georgia native and board-certified Ophthalmologist and Oculofacial Surgeon. She graduated Cum Laude from Morehouse School of Medicine and matched into her residency program of choice at the renowned Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL. The diverse patient population and array of pathology she encountered during training allowed her to graduate residency with a high level of confidence and competency to manage the most threatening ocular diseases and traumas to the eye and surrounding structures.
Dr. Jackson prides herself in being a meticulous surgeon, taking time with each of her patients to ensure she is addressing their specific concerns and formulating a unique treatment plan individualized to each patient’s needs. She believes in maintaining candor in the patient-surgeon relationship and possesses a rare ability to make everyone she encounters feel heard and validated.
In her free time, she values spending time with her loved ones. She enjoys experiencing new cultures and food through travel, and also enjoys hiking, horseback riding, and fitness. She is an avid promoter of the importance of physical activity to maintain beauty and youthfulness from the inside out.
