The Southwest Eye Institute was founded in 2004 by Dr. Marc Ellman with one thing in mind: providing excellent comprehensive eye care in a comforting environment. We offer a spacious office with the latest technology to diagnose and treat all types of eye problems. Our doctors and fine staff are committed to providing exceptional care and service throughout your visit with us. Our Spanish-speaking patients can be comforted in knowing that we are fully bilingual.

VISTA SURGERY CENTER
Our office is adjacent to the Vista Surgery Center, a state-of-the-art certified ambulatory surgery center. Being adjacent to the Vista Surgery Center allows us to offer our patients the ultimate in convenience, as all their medical and surgical eye care can be provided under one roof.
INSURANCE COVERAGE
We are providers on most insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, and many private insurance plans such as Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, etc. Please call our office at (915) 595-4375 to inquire if we are a provider for your insurance carrier. If we are not currently a provider on your insurance plan, we will try to become a provider or will work with you to file an out-of-network claim, if possible. Many insurances require a referral from the primary care provider listed on your plan. If your insurance requires this, please bring the referral to your visit.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Most health insurance plans cover visits to our office under your regular health insurance. You do not have to have vision coverage to be seen by our doctors. If you have any questions about your coverage, call our office today and ask to speak to one of our billing specialists.
FEES AND PAYMENTS
At the Southwest Eye Institute, we work hard to assure that our fees are reasonable. At the same time, we strive to provide you the best care possible using the latest technology available. As a service to our patients, we accept cash, check, and credit cards. As an additional service, we also offer financing through specialized patient financing companies. You can finance up to 100 percent of visits and procedures with no upfront costs, annual fees, or pre-payment penalties. There are even ‘No Interest Payment Plans,’ in which there are no interest charges if the balance is paid in full within the specified time period. EDUCATION
The Southwest Eye Institute is a center of education for medical and optometry students. However, all procedures and surgeries are performed by our physicians only. If you prefer not to have a student participate in your care, please let our staff know.
